Player Advice
Here's a
set of advices a Player can follow in order to stay out of trouble and also
make their gaming experience exciting.
#1: Be
innovative in Character Designs! If there isn't something stated in the game
then let the Owner know. If you want to truly personify your character some
times you need to go outside the guidelines and talk to some one and ask of it.
But due remember it must be classified base upon the Game System. For Example
if you want to give your char a Flaw so you be unique go ahead I the Owner
encourage it. Personifying a character allows you to really get into the
character and if I don't have it find me and we can talk.
#2: Assign
your character some Defects due to the Fact that Stats, Alignment, Race, and
skills offer a variable means to personalize your character don't try to make
the "Perfect Character" Allow some Flaws in them so you can have humorous
events or weak points to your Character. For Example if he's all Fight he sucks
at Magic. If she's a Righteous person and refuses to use weapons to hurt people
make her supportive. All though these aren't specified in the Game you can make
the characters mentality to the limit of your imagination and use the modifiers
to closely represent that by using Character Defects listed.
#3: Don't
be a Copycat. I seen a lot in my days so don't do it. This is an Original
setting Game so make an Original character. If certain things inspire you
portraying a character use that Character from that source as a building guide
to your character. Identical characters base upon a hit TV show, movie, or some
source can be seen as cheesy and as well may be a poor representation for that
character. Although using the name isn't that bad as long as the personality
and person is different from the original character.
#4: Don't
be a total Loner. The game was made for Host/Player and Player/Player Interaction.
By continuing to portray this image too far in extent you may be depriving
yourself and others of your ability to Role Play and interact with people. Deny
yourself any opportunity and enjoyment of the game is ruined for everyone most
importantly yourself.
#5: Do
Not Obsess about Rules it’s at times pointless. They are served as guidelines
for Hosts and Players to follow to maintain a form of order for enjoyment. Remember
each host has a different style and outlook of how they host. If the host likes
to play fast and loose go with the flow and experience something new and different.
You'll develop the preverbal “Player’s Taste" and knows what you like and
dislike. The Rules were made to benefit the game. Don't let the rules hold you
back so seriously.
#6: Have
Faith in your Hosts. Although we come in an assortment of flavors, sex, and
colors. We are a fruity bunch. Believe in us for any worthy Host realizes
players come first and that we are here to make it enjoyable for everyone and
ourselves. Trust a Hosts Judgment and things will go smoothly friction with
them and things can go bad for others and more importantly yourself.
#7:
Communicate with Players and Staff. This is how people get feed back Negative
or Positive. This let's hosts and staff know what players like and dislike or what
they would like to see or not see in games. Do this on Regular sessions if you
like maybe after Quests or Events. Let the Host know what you liked and
dislike. With out player input we won't ever make correction or even begin to
know how other players feel. So with Player Input and Communication we can get
deeper inside the players and work harder to making the game more enjoyable.
And if you can't tell them or are to shy email us at our home site so we can
relay information. Heck if you really enjoy feed back we can get a forum
started or receive fan letters from our players.
#8: Always
follow in Game and Out of Game Rules. All though they shouldn't hinder you know
the risks of breaking them and the penalties they have in and out of game.
Remember the Actions of a person is much louder than words alone. Although...
-_-; some words can be pretty loud and foul. So remember a good sense of
judgment and common sense is always good. Following rules is always safer and
easier than breaking them.
