Frequently Asked Questions FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Here are frequently asked
Questions and Answers from past players and Questions I once ask myself when
creating this game. Please if you have any questions that are not answered in
this please feel free to ask me or any other staff member. I know at times we
don't understand something or some times we need to ask Questions about things
to be sure and accurate of answers. So I created this page in order to help with
that but as I said feel free to ask questions if none are answered here or ask
anyway so you feel better than remaining quiet. Any question unasked will never
have a solution with no answer.
A: Simple,
participate more in Quests and Events. The more you participate the quicker you
accelerate the process of increasing your character’s abilities, skills, and
Equipment. Minor Events are sure fire easy ways to spend a little time for
increasing your character and their wealth.
A: That is
difficult and challenging. Participation is the key to accumulating Rewards
needed to advance your character. But there are a few ways to do so. One way is
to Participate at Days or Hours when you know an event is occurring and take a
Full Session participation to gain the Max amount of Rewards possible in a
Quest. Other ways to gain Rewards is by participating in Drawing for the Image
Gallery or Writing Gallery. We always welcome such things for the game and
although the Exp and Denare Rewards is small you can submit small things time to
time and gain little but in the end still remain gaining rewards to keep up.
Also keep in mind we give Exp when players role play when a Host is monitoring
the room so take advantage of that as well.
A: Well
registration was made for beginning characters and we do Transfers as well for
those who were previous members of the first Serenade. Some times we don't have
such cool things that all players want. Some things are Request only or are
specified to a Realm Specific due to the Genre. But we are more than happy to do
Requests as long as the Request is Reasonable. So please email us in order to
submit requests that you may want.
A: There
is no Levels we transfer that can correspond to our game. However we have
developed a system for previous characters of Serenade of the Dark Lands to
transfer levels and their primary equipment. Money will be transferred the same
but the person can only transfer seven items of their equipment. Some items may
not be transferable thus the Item can be transferred to gold for new equipment.
A: No, we
have a skill that shows a player how to wield two weapons at once. As for
realism some aspects in Games are made to suit realism but unrealism at the same
time offering a mix for those blockbuster theatrics we love so much. But in
truth it takes a person a long time to train in two weapon fighting in reality
however we do have abilities and skills that help to your two weapon fighting
ability.
A: You
needn't worry of such things. Each Host has his or her own style of role playing
and hosting. Some are slow and Tell stories and some are fast and loose. There
are multiple types of Hosts. If you aren't too happy with the Host you
participate often with you should give some feed back to him and ask questions.
You needn't participate in Events with hosts you don't enjoy being with. But
remember don't be problematic for the host just because you don’t like him or
her. If you don't enjoy their work there are others to participate too and
adventure with.
A: The only way to prevent Damage is to have a High Dodge Rate or by acquiring Armor. Armor is not easy to come by in the game and is usually bought in places you and your party have to go to shop to get them. Basic Armor would Hardly protect you such as leathers or Sturdy Fiber that offer a minor reduction to Dmg. But keep in mind stronger Armors Reduce your Reflexive Stat and Dodge.
A: All Players Start with 100Hp (Health Points) and 10 D.HP. When Creating a Character you are given 60 points to split up into your Five Main stats that will make up your attributes in the game. Your character will also be able to choose a Class which will grant them some Feats and sometimes Equipment. You also get 100Exp to spend on Skills and Skill Feats your character knows in order to assist you and your party's survival. You also have 2,000 Gold to purchase Equipment, Tools, and Items for your journeys to come.
A: At Every Quest end you gain a certain amount of Exp to use to increase the various abilities of your character and purchase abilities in your Class which is important in making your character stronger and efficient. You also gain Gold to gain equipment and various items. Unlike Level up systems it is vital for your character to participate often because your rewards count in the process of strengthening and advancing your character.
A: Fair enough. To eliminate needless and constant updating the process of choosing what you want and emailing it is quicker. By Players looking at their Class Abilities and carefully spending their exp on abilities in their class they can choose how to develop their character as well as eliminate the staff process of updating in a single mass update. Players send their submission we search their Character sheet and update it as soon as we see it. Of coarse occasionally a player may make their own mass update but it tends to happen now and then. Though like buying off the shelf you get only what you can afford and received. This also eliminates the level moders and godmoders who's abilities based on levels makes them superior to a low level character. Though its true higher levels show constant participation and rights to brag our system allows all players to be equal opportunists among another and the enemies they face. Depending in how they raise their character determines the fact in strengths and weakness not set by a table or class but by the player themselves giving and offering more for them to role play as their character.
A: Complicated but possible. When you Register you'll be able to Select a Single Class. Those who Dual Class will have another option but will end up dividing their Exp among two Classes instead of one. A Character can learn up to two Classes during Registration or after. The later of Dual Classing will have to submit an email of their second class. You can also purchase other class abilities that are not of the character classes but at double the cost. However this is not recommended since it would spread the character thin and make them versatile but in the long run very costly. To be a bit of everything is too costly and difficult to manage.
A: There are no real limits in the game but try to be realistic. There are some things some players can’t do or survive whether their skills or abilities rank high. Stats are at a limit of 20 and no higher, Modifiers on weapons, relics, armor, Damage, Weapons, etc. are no higher than +12. The Max base Damage on any weapon can do is d20 Dmg and total damage can be a max of 30-50 Dmg depending on bonuses and craft. Armor can protect up to a total of 50%-80% Physical or Magical. A Character can make up to four attacks. For further detail on limits carefully read this page for details.
A: You can make up to three Extra Attacks during your Turn. First you’re Given Action, And then certain penalties occur after the second attack for another set of Attacks up to four attacks total. You don't necessarily have to make so many attacks for extra attacks you can also spend another action to make a second attack. We at least allow up to four attacks to be made as long as the penalties are followed. However please read the section for multiple attacks to understand better the detail in doing so.
A: Your character is Dead once they have reached beyond in D.Hp. Death Hit Points (D.Hp) are the total amount of damage required after Zero Hp to kill your character. This total is based on your Base 10 D.Hp and the Bonus D.Hp Value. Once your character has gone beyond that amount your character is dead. Keep this in mind when you are in D.Hp your character is at a Comatose State and Attackers can try to perform a killing blow or just Attack your unconscious body till you die.
A: Avoid monsters with Status Effects and keep a player journal of the Monsters you have encountered so that for future reference you can use information to heal Status Effects those monsters carry, basically log every moment you are effected. Another way is having a high Resist or Ethereal Resistance. The Higher your Resistance is the better you'll be at a Resistance Check.
A: All Characters can normally hold up to 6 Items at a time such as 2 weapons, Armor, a Pack, and 2 convenient pockets for items.. This also depends on Size of item. Weapons normally take 1 slot as well as Armor. Healing items can be carried in 3 per slot. Large Weapons or Heavier Armors Take up 2 slots. If you wish to carry gold you can carry 1,000 gold per slot. Miscellaneous items like tools can be held in 1 slot. Small weapons like knives can carry 2 in a slot or one small and medium- 2 mediums can be carried in one slot. To increase the amount you can carry try to purchase Carrying Equipment such as bags or pack mules. Characters that carry up to 7 slots worth of items or more suffer a movement and Dodge reduction that cuts their score at a -5 each. For every 1 slot of items you carry more than 6 this adds and additional -5. You can only carry on yourself 6 slots worth of stuff without penalty so be careful how much you loot and carry with you.
A: Your base Dmg unarmed is your Power Attribute divided by 2. Keep in mind unarmed attacks are considered bashing damage and verses heavier armor the Dmg is reduced by half. Some Classes will allow you Extra Modifiers for Unarmed Combat and aid in dealing more damage to enemies Unarmed making it easier to ignore penalties verses unarmed.
A: Denare is the universal Currency around the World of Everlynn. Some nations barter in gold, silver, copper, bronze, or some times some people barter in jewels To avoid the complexity of some currency not being accepted in some countries Denare was created mixed with precious metals to give it value. 1 Denare is equal to being 20 Copper pieces, Bronze 15 pieces, Silver 10 pieces, Gold 5 pieces, and Gemstones tend to be a heavier price than Denare and normally Gems have a Denare Value of how many Denare they should be. Denare appears as a golden con with the face of a woman representing as the Creator and has tiny studded jewels around the neck of the Creator and a small tiny sapphire as her eyes..
A: That's rather difficult because just like our world there are many different Gemstones in Everlynn. The ones listed are the most sought after and have a price. To get details on what each stone is check out the Material Shop. These are at times the most common to find and purchase.
A: You'll have to purchase them in shops or while on the road. Ammunitions is light since you'll be carrying Bolts, Arrows, Bullets, Specific ammo in one carrying slot. Each slot can hold a total of 45 pieces of ammo. Keep in mind about how much you can carry so you don't overburden yourself.
A: It could be made easier but remember this is a game of fantasy and purchases won't be in many convenient spots except for shops or you make your own. You and your party are trying to survive random battles that have befallen your party. Hence it's always good to keep in mind to be well supplied and equipped.
