History of Everlynn

Long Ago, the world of Everlynn was in turmoil, and the gods engaged in war. A War like none other, one that separated the races and attempted to obliterate all mortals. When the Creator left the land many gods grew jealous of the mortals, who were favored by the creator. The Gods grew angry with the Mortals, beginning a war against all races and nations. Some of the gods defied the validity of the war and were swiftly outcast and exiled from the Pantheon. Man and Faye fought side by side then against each other in a battle of survival; then to gain the gods favors. Darkness fell over Everlynn.

As the sky grew dark, blood filled the land. War on all fronts began, the battles leaving many scarred and frightened. Crusades made by the Gods with worthy mortal followers lead to the torture and inquisition of the mortal's loyalty to the gods. One race strived to bring balance once more to the lands. The Blooded, whose race was the first nearly annihilated by the Gods, rebuilt their strengths, trying to gather allies of all ethics, races, and nations. They found themselves stranded with only each other to rely on, as the Gods had destroyed Heaven's Road, the only way to get outside help.

Five Hundred Years have passed since the war and Everlynn now has had a peaceful eleven years. The scars of the five Hundred Year War still remain, affecting those of long life as well as other races. Even in this time of peace we are still reminded of the horrors and stories of the War. Even as a New Pantheon came to power after defeating the Old Pantheon some still worry if these gods will do the same. Assuring the people the New Pantheon, made up of young Gods have laid witness to the tragedy that befell Everlynn, swearing that such atrocities will nay come to pass again.

The world was named after Everlynn, the eternal dragon who sacrificed his immortal soul to preserve and regenerate the world. It was this dragon who installed the young gods as the new Pantheon. With this assuredness the people continue living peacefully.

The rise of the 12th year of peace comes as the day of Renewal known as the New Year falls near. Many still mourn the tragedy. Most embrace joy, glad of the peace in the land. There are those yet that pray for the times before the peace, the dark times. Many scholars have seen in the stars that a new challenge awaits Everlynn. There are those who to this day, refer to Everlynn as the "Blue Planet of Tears", remembering the many deaths of those before them.
