The Daughters of Light
The Daughters of Light are Holy
Women who search for the Creators Gift and follow the Way of the Almighty God.
This congregation is of all Women, Sisters, if you will who earn to use Heron
known as Magic to some. The Sisters Monastery “Delan” Is in the southern
Region past a Great Forest Holy Groove in the Continent of Aliel. These Sisters
live in this Great Monastery for most of their lives and some since they were
little learning to pass the Word of the Creator and to save those from the Dark
One. The Sisters have two head Figures known as the Delu and the Balu (Holy
Mother and Holy Father). The Sisters are Very wise and powerful in their Heron
but are not really Good Fighters. They are known to take care of the poor and
the needy. Sisters of the Daughters of Light seem to be very weary and offense
when seeing those of the Dark let alone they feel that other beliefs are
blasphemy and heathenism acts.Holy Mother the Delu is
Mother Aila a Goddess who teaches the way of her Creator and Father the
Almighty. She teaches Sisters to have faith and teaches them to be ladies and
watch for their Sins. Much like the Delu the Balu Richard Renard a God who
teaches the Sister to defend themselves and what to expect from the Real World
is like their Father Figure. Both Figures are like parents to the Daughters of
Light who look to them as guidance to the world and how to bring the Word to
all. The Delu and Balu rarely have men in the House of the Lord since so many
woman are in the Monastery and that Men are known to be the roots of almost all
evil. The Balu has a separate Monastery and teaches men and women the Word
outside the Monastery.
Sisters of All
Nationality are taught her but there are few who are of different Sort. Those
with Magic such as Sorcery, Wizardry, Magus, Necromancy, and of the Magic or
Enchanted Realm are not seen to highly of Acceptance and seem to fear or loathe
the Sisters. Those that have join can be seen as Human, Elves, Halflings, and a
few Dwarven women. You rarely see those who are highly enchanted in the
Daughters of Light. Dragons, Dark Creatures, and those of the Faye are seen to
be abominations of a Different creator and are not totally welcome unless they
believe or accept conversion. They believe that these creatures are of the Dark
one and feel unsafe in their presence.
The Two most important
things a Sister does in the Monastery is learning of the Creator and his ways
and searches for those with the Gift of the Creator. There are certain children
Born with Gifts that they look for. These Gifts are Ultimate Heron that cannot
bet control. They are Given the Name God Spells or Holy Gift. The Holy Gift I
rarely found but when the Sisters find or hear of information of one who
possesses the Holy Gift they immediately search for that individual making it
their priority to find the child before the Dark One can find them. The Sisters
know that if not found the child will be a Danger to themselves and to others.
That is when they use their Heron and the Rehara to Train the child. Since most
with the Holy Gift are children they are able to teach the child the ways of the
Almighty and to Control their Gift. Some have come across that of teenager years
but never an adult. They seem to not have problems with a woman but find that
Young men always seem to rebuttal or have something to say.
Rehara means God’s
tapestry the tool that the Sisters use to control the Gift from going wild in a
Child with the Holy Gift. The Rehara also administers a certain amount of Pain
to the Bearer in order to teach, train, and prevent them from sinning. The
Rehara will harm them if any Sin, Vulgarity, or threat is done Verbally, in
thought, or as an action. The last thing it deals is death when they find that
the Child will not cooperate and is a danger to themselves and others loose the
Sisters sadly must kill the Child so that it may not fall in the hands of the
Destroyer or decides to harm the Daughters of Light.
They follow a peaceful
life unknowing to the changing world around them and occasionally go on trips to
spread the word of the Almighty and to see how the world has progress. Outside
to the north are the Mountains of Sorrow and the Holy Range that surrounds them
into the west and east. To the South is the Crescent Forest were the Moon Elves
live and Amazon Tribe the Tanai Live. The Sisters made a treaty with the Moon
Elves and Tanai for safe passage through the Crescent Forest. However when a
child with the Holy Gift comes the Tanai ask for the child to bless them by
getting a sacrifice with them from the Kenai tribe another Amazon group that is
called the Masterless Tribe. Never have any of the Sisters broken their promises
to their treaty with the Tanai or Moon Elf but the Kenai seek to kill the
Sisters and so the Daughters of Light try to stay away from the Kenai Southern
Region of the Crescent forest to the south that leads to the Town of Remiel
where they get their supplies.
There is a certain Rule
the Daughters of Light Follow and an Enemy they Fear. They Fear the Daughters of
Dark. The Daughters of Dark are Sisters either Reborn by a Necromancer or
tainted by the Dark One’s Beast who sleeps below the Monastery to forever be
sealed away. The Sisters Fear the Daughters of Dark due to their Power is far
stronger than they and can cease even the Strongest of Sisters. Rules Explain to
never accuse a Daughter of Light as a Daughter of Dark for with out proof one
can be severely punish, band, or even be slain for such an atrocity. In the
5,000 years of the monastery there has been no real sign of activity of the
Daughters of Darkness. To them it is a Myth from the God Wars that had occurred
thousands of years ago. Sisters that do see a Daughter of Darkness will give
their life to defeat them.
The other thing a
Sister learns to read the History and Legends of the Planet Everlynn. The
Ancient Ones have foretold of many things. These were Sisters of an old Age who
had Visions and till this day there is but only a handful that will have the
Visionary Gift. One of the Prophecies foretold are that of the Seven White
Devils. These Devils are to bring the Destruction of all that come before them
and to bring alive the White Devil itself to the world. They search for the Seal
that confines the Beast and shall awaken it as the Messenger to the Dark One.
They say the end of the world is near in this prophecy and a Great metal vessel
shall fall from the heavens to be rid of the White Devil only buying time till the Great Devastation. Yet another is of the Master of the Daughters of Light
who is called Savior. He will be basked in a white glow as if he walks as the Father himself and he will name himself Savior destroying three shadows and
Saving the Sisters in their darkest hour. He will carry the Heaven’s Blade in
his hand and call forth the Rocan to his hand. He will Seal the Land so that the
Beast will sleep once again. This is but the two most important Legends they
know since others are small detail and are forks to things bigger.
A Sisters day begins
with morning services heading to the great Cathedral Casmier said to be the most
decorative and beautiful Cathedral. After Services is the Communal bath were all
ladies bathe in the fountain of Aila where the Delu and her Daughters cleanse
their bodies and souls from any sin and dirt from the day. The Hall is where
Sisters commune and speak to another as well have their three meals. Since the
Sisters believe eating meat of animal is killing an innocent beast they do not
eat meat and are strictly vegetarian. After then by noontime the Sisters perform
their tasks of tending to the Monastery chores or teaching the New Sisters and
holy Gifted of their Heron. This goes on for several hours then before night
arrives the Sisters have some time to themselves before nightly services where
after they place the hearts and songs to giving strength to the Seal.
Sisters do leave the
Monastery on their own will traveling with a small group or traveling alone with
a bodyguard she hires to see the world. A Sister will give the Delu her love and
let her know she wishes to bring the word and see the rest of the world who has
been denied the blessing. The Delu more than jumps for joy when her children do
this and allows them to leave with a group of Sisters or Bodyguard. These
Bodyguards are trained by the Balu to watch over the Sisters as they travel.
Some have even seen the two falling in love. The Sisters in turn after their
adventure will come and return giving great news or sad news of what they have
seen and return. The Sister’s Journal is one of the tools they have when
traveling. The Magic book is where the write what they have seen or learned and
at times to give quick news to the Monastery of things occurring in the World of
Everlynn.
The fears of the
Sisters are unknown to them for they cannot know why they are feared by so many.
It is said it is the Rehara they posses on themselves is what causes this fear.
People are afraid that if the Gift is awakened in them the Sisters will come to
take them to the Monastery. Many do not see the Sisters as Holy others see them
as witches or a bother to them. Other Religious figure heads believe them to be
blasphemes other than they being accused for their choice. Many dislike the
Sisters for their Narrow mind to their Belief because of their upbringing they
can not be so open to the world. However it may be there are those who would
kill a Sister just to be rid of one less in the world. Those however are mainly
the Monster and Demon Race.
A Sister’s choice
weapon is a knife, whip, or wand. They are taught how to fight with the weapon
and to cast Sol Rocan a small version of the Hero called Savior’s soul sword.
With a knife or any weapon the can inflict damage on they use the Sol Rocan to
not cause physical harm but harm to the soul. Since they believe to shed blood
is to but violence. They learn to constantly use this ability when attacking a
danger to them so that they may cause pain to it but no real harm. Because of
this a Sister has not seen a real death or seen masses of Blood. A Sister will
also learn to achieve the higher form if Sol Rocan as Ba Rocan which can destroy
the soul and send it to the Creator. The Ba Rocan is used when the Sisters must
take their own life or the life of the Child with the Gift and the Rehara on in
order to save the World the Creator made.
Rules of the Daughters of Light
- Thou shall follow the Holy Book and path of the Creator has written for us.
- The Delu and Balu know what is best for us and we shall follow attentively to their words.
- >No Sin of any form be it lust, temptation, or greed to our own gain shall befall us.
- Love shall not be made till we know it is the one whom we shall love all our lives.
- We shall watch all children and bless the Holy Gift in them every day till they have learned.
- No Sister shall remove the Rehara with out just reason nor hide or she herself will own the Rehara.
- If the Child the Sister cannot control the gift must sadly pray and take the life to save life.
- Learn well the Rehara It gives pain but you shall feel pain Sister to whom child you guard.
- Thou shall not fall in love with a child with the Holy Gift.
- Do not talk back to those of higher Sister Hood to do so will fall a punishment.
- Do not steal from thy Sisters for punishment lurks.
- Do not fall to the Dark One if so take thy life and stay from the Shadow.
- Pass the blessing and ways of the Creator to all who needs it and spread his word.
- Never accuse a Sister with out proof for the punishment can be severe.
- Three chances are given to all Sisters for breaking the Rules none shall be given.
- Sisters who fail to their duties given by the Delu can be punished and deprive of rank.
- Follow the ways of the Creator and not false idols.
- Do not hide from the Monastery for he the Creator sees all so share with them your soul.
- The word of the Delu must be follow for she is our holy Mother, which we not fail.
- A Sister shall not ever take advantage of those under the Rehara for that is sin that is banishment.
- The Rehara is a tool never a weapon you will respect it as that.
Punishments of the Monastery and Daughters of Light
There are several different punishments the Sisters use to deter the rules or actions being broken or done again. We shall use a switch and punish those immature and childish to break rules with a switch, as one would do a child. Another is that if one is caught stealing even if it is food late night from the kitchen is stealing thus stealing shall have the Daughter in the stocks to teach her not to steal. A Sister caught in the Act of Love in her own room in the Monastery or is heard gallivanting shall disrobe and walk nude for all to see as she may realize sinful eyes lay on her as she sin. A Sister who becomes a Dark Sister or is totally rebellious to threaten her own Sisters can be slain at anytime. A Sister who fails to learn well her smaller punishments can also be placed under the Rehara trained by a Sister in order to better learn her mistake. Banishment is yet another punishment to those who will never learn or break the highest rules.
