Professions
Welcome to
the
School
of
Algenon
, a place of learning the skills and abilities of many different types of
adventurers. Though these professions can be applied in many ways they are
utilize in your average day lives as adventurers. An Adventurer is an individual
that offers their services by utilizing their skills to specific or every day
adventurers. Adventures can lead to many different rewards and troubles. Each
profession is different and utilizes a specific talent in giving you aid to your
adventures. Depending on the type of adventurer you will be may depend on the
abilities you are able to learn. However you must understand certain rules in
professions as well as how the abilities are divided. As an adventurer you may
wish to choose a profession that best suits your character type however some
tend to dual class to get added support. Read the following Rules and Notes to
understand some things about professions. All professions are listed and merely
need to be clicked on to see a brief explanation as well as the Benefits and
Abilities of that Profession.
Benefits:
Benefits are basic skills gained when the adventurer has chosen the
profession. These skills cannot be learned by some one outside of a profession
unless they have decided to become one of that profession. These novice skills
were taught at the beginning of an adventurer’s training and of coarse are
natural to them. These also cannot be taught to another person till the
adventurer of that profession has three of their profession’s abilities. Once
done they may teach these Benefits to those outside for 30 Exp each. The one
learning must pay this cost in order to learn the skill from some one of that
profession.
Abilities:
These are trainable abilities some one of their profession can learn. Each
ability in a profession is set for that profession and is never similar or
exactly the same as other professions. Abilities can also be learned from people
outside the profession however it is much more difficult than being of that
profession where you had the basic training. Therefore learning abilities
outside of your profession are double the exp amount. Some Abilities cannot be
learned due to certain requirements. For example a Swordsman can’t learn a
spell unless he knows how to Use Magic. With out that skill he cannot use spells
to cast. Also some Abilities are profession specific and cannot be learned from
outside profession other than those of that profession.
Profession
Limit: All adventurers can learn up to three Professions however you can
only learn two classes at a time. When Dual Classing you at least need to have
three of your First Professions ability before you can submit your second choice
of Profession. Remember when Dual Classing you will eventually need to divide up
your Exp among the two classes making it difficult to choose among the choices
you want. Also your third Class can be a Basic profession or a Prestige
Profession. With Prestige Professions you must fulfill all their requirements
before you can choose or apply to that profession. Check out the Prestige
Profession Section for details.
Note:
Everything listed in parentheses is referring to the old Serenade system.
They are listed next to what they would be in the new game system.
