Weapon Master (Prestige Class)
A Weapon Master is an individual who is able to learn and
utilize many different Weapons in various uses in combat. A Weapon Master takes
a specific item and masters it till they have everything down packed about to
the merits and Flaws of the Weapons. Weapon Masters are highly revered at times
as great Duelists and some Championships are battled with weapon Masters to see
what weapon is better suited than the other. Weapon Masters spends their
training constantly to improve and discover rare abilities as well as uses for
their weapon.
Unlike Warriors, Swordsman, or others that wield a weapon a Weapon
Master gains bonuses to the weapon they specify in their Training. These
abilities increase the weapons ability to attack, deal precise damage, as well
as apply many skills to the art. Though hard to earn a Weapon Master learns at
least one specific weapon at the beginning and others as he adventures and
travels.
Benefits> These are basic Abilities you know of easily
from your novice training when learning to become a Weapon Master. Some are set
specifically for your profession as abilities you may know and how to use.
Though they are rarely powerful skills they are useful skills that will assist
you in your travels as an Adventurer in the world of Everlynn.
Mastered One
Weapon> At the beginning a Weapon Master learns one specific weapon and
instantly gains a +4 Bonus when applying that Weapon to ATR, Damage, Parrying,
Disarming, Blocking, and any other skill that would apply in using that weapon.
Instant Two Weapon
Fighting> A Weapon Master learns to wield their chosen weapons in both
hands able to make their freehand useful in using another weapon the same as the
weapon of his choice. The benefit Mastered Weapon or Mastered One Weapon doubles
if in the offhand the weapon Master is using the same weapon as in his freehand
and is not penalized as if treated with two weapons.
Skilled
Ambidexterity> Weapon Masters are first trained to use their chosen
weapon in their offhand then their correct hand. Because of this it matters not
what hand the Weapon Master uses he will receive no penalty when using his
chosen weapon(s) in his offhand making him very versatile in battle.
Abilities> There are not many abilities for a weapon
Master but of them they apply greatly to his or hers combat skills. These
applications and tricks in battle make them deadly Melee Fighters in battle.
Though bare in mind it is an Expensive and Costly profession to learn from and
takes much time to master the Weapon Master Profession.
Mastered Weapon>
Applying a lot of skill and training the next weapon chosen by the Weapon Master
gets the same bonuses as the Benefit “Mastered One Weapon” however a Weapon
Master may Master only the amount of Weapons Equal to his or her Mind Attribute.
Meaning if the Weapon Master has 10 Mind he or she may only learn to Master ten
weapons.

Awase> A
Ryujin Kensei skill a Weapon Master has learned this skill perhaps from a Ryujin
Weapon Master teacher or a Weapon Master that has learned this skill. Regardless
whenever a Weapon Master Makes a Reflex Check with their Chosen Weapon it Forces
to the opponent to make a Reflex Check and beat the Weapon Master’s Score as
the Attacker makes a -5 to their Roll. As the Enemy fails the roll the Weapon
Master makes an instant attack that deals damage as they knock back their
Enemies Attack. Treat this similar to parrying an attack.
Cost> 50 Exp
Precise Throwing
Aim> When a Weapon Master attempts in throwing their Chosen Weapon they
get +4 to their Throwing Roll. This is useful when attempting to inflict damage
from a distant target. This also applies if the Chosen Weapon is a Throwing
Weapon.
Cost> 40 Exp
Offense and Defense
Mastery> At the beginning of the Weapon Master’s turn they may choose
to go all Offensive or Defensive. If going onto the total Offensive they not
only get their ATR Bonus but can add their Dodge Bonus to ATR bonus as long as
they keep that Stance. The opposite is done when they take the total Defensive
placing all their ATR and adding it to their DR Rolls. The Downside you will
leave one of these categories seriously weakened and is usually a last Resort
for Weapon Masters or an early gamble in some battles.

Energy Slash>
Acquiring
deep energy from their spirit a Weapon Master can Execute the Energy Slash a
deadly strike that can attack a specified Target ignoring all other Targets and
the Target’s Armor. For Example the Boss of the henchmen you are fighting is
blocking your way. Using this ability the attack will ignore the entire henchmen
and strike the boss as long as the Weapon Master uses his chosen weapon and
beats a Spirit Check Difficulty 14. This ability can only be used once a day but
a Weapon Master may Attempt it again but loose 20Hp at the process.
Cost> 50 Exp
Vorpal Slash>
The Weapon Master may attempt a stronger version of Energy Slash once they have
mastered the limit of all their Weapons and Abilities. This Attack doesn’t
ignore Targets but will affect any in your way. The attack creates a huge energy
wave that slices through all in its way ignoring all armor dealing damage.
However the Range of the Energy wave is as far as your Base Movement. So if the
weapon Master had a Movement of 4 Anyone in an area of 20ft in front of the
Weapon Master is struck by this attack. The Damage is based upon the chosen
weapon of the Weapon Master.
