Dakar

The Dakar is a race of beings like no other. Considered like the Vampire undead they surely and in most are not dead just soul given form. They say Dakar are men and women who no longer wish to wait in purgatory thus walked from awaiting judgment and entered back to the realm of the living. Since such long lost ages the Dakar race has flourished only because they desire to correct something wrong in their past lives or complete a task that is unfinished. These chaotic souls are torn from recalling their past waiting to find peace in their soul knowing very little of their past life having forgotten it when they left judgment. They know only that they are here and await the Creator to see their tasks to be judged like normal souls to go to Paradise or Damnation. Dakar's seem to resemble their past appearance and even have abilities of their past race. Though they have very white pale skin like cream and all Dakar’s eyes are infra red having no real eye pupil anymore except on rare occasions of emotion. On even more rare occasions a Dakar child may retain textures or abilities and appearances of their parent’s life but this is seldom seen and is rare as a birthing of two incompatible races usually births a child that is already dead. Since such you will come rarely across one who retains memory of their past life and even so they will remember almost nothing of themselves except their name. Their hair comes in an assortment of blacks to white and even some times gray. Those that are half breed have ice blue eyes and the color of the natural parent but are still in appearance as a Dakar. A Dakar isn’t savage but are rather ruthless and carefree living a rebel attitude and chaotic life. They enjoy good battle being well over 2ft more than their regular height. They all seem to be naturally masculine or athletic muscle build. Dakar yearn for combat, trouble and, mischief. The best way to describe them is the friendly neighborhood Scots or Celtic warriors who eat, drink, and battle. Male Dakar seems to enjoy brute strength although they normally do not partake in learning magic since they have no soul they cannot use energies of the planet. Where as females usually 5'9" to 6'9" seem to grasp magic normally which is sort of unheard of but not yet proven as to why. A Dakar's vision consists of normal vision and then infra red to heat vision making any target that is warm blooded an easy sight. This thermal vision helps them a lot at night and where light is very sparse.

Dakar are able to use Heavy Armors with no difficulty or penalties due to their size and strength. They can also wield two handed objects easily in one hand with no penalty as if it were a single hand weapon. Dakar weapons are considered dangerous make due to their size and are special requested to Smiths for the right price. Although they are tall and massive they are still quick to move. More than combat ready a Dakar has an unnatural strength to lift twice his or her size and own weight. Considering their strength they are just as strong as Vampires and Demons. This make's them formidable foes against rather strong or supernaturally strong opponents. Although the strength of a Dakar is not that of a Dragon or Colossal size creature if the race happens to be that and it is also known to mess with one Dakar is to mess with his Pack which consists of 3-5 people consisting mainly Dakar or some other group of adventurers. Dakar is oddly sociable race unless messed with like pissing off the pack of Bull dogs next door slapping them with a steak. They are very close to another having suffered the same lost and tend to support their own unless he or she is being stupid or ignorant. They are rather physical and rough in language. Surprisingly some have manners but some are just down right Dakar so to say.

The culture of a Dakar isn't much they live freely and at times do as they wish. Never really a community of Dakars they all travel place to place seeking action and adventure occasionally being chaotic and causing mischief. Dakar are naturally aggressive and very protective of what they claim be it property or friends. Strangely they have pasts they can't remember and it is said Dakar's that remember can end their ageless years and finally seek rest for their soul. They leave judgment to finish something undone be it revenge, a deed, or something that pulls them to return to the world of the living to return to the realm of life in order to be finish what they think must be done and even that they forget unless triggered. Since Dakar never age most natural Dakars look to be in their late 20's to their 40's in appearance by their race.  Every five years they are asked if they wish to look older or younger by the angels of Paradise as to blend in with mortals but most freak out thinking they are being taken back and tend to run away. Dakar's look to be the age they perhaps died at coming back immediately the following day of their death. As a Dakar you seek the night life at times sleeping most of the day till afternoon mainly because you are a form of undead but not necessarily a vampire or a Zombie just a pale colored version of yourself with no soul since they guys at judgment are holding it for you and since you have no soul anything that would harm the soul really doesn’t work on you. You party with friends and fight along with allies most the time and tend to be rather rambunctious and carefree. The thrill of combat is at times more exciting than sex since the thrill of battle reminds you of that part of paradise. Although if the party was a little one you be the animal of the party and encourage everyone to have a good time or just be by yourself in your own little world. Dakar are sociable and very festive enjoying the area to be lively and not so stiff. Dakar are known to start drinking contest and win due to their great constitution and strength. They also carry a rather rugged appearance not filthy but a rather tarn look wearing Goth like clothes to dark leathers and chains. Dakar males are tough and prefer the lion to kin type method when his friends or allies are close by. A good thrashing never hurt anyone in a lesson so Dakar tends to be the older brother and sister smacking the sibling around if they get to stupid. Dakar women are rather tall and Amazonian although strangely they are very aggressive and dominant. Hence even the Dakar males stay from the crazy females. Three Phrases to watch for when a Dakar is around. “Bar fight!!!!” They love these battles since some can pay for them and the whole Dakar group will chip in to pay damages just to nail the ass munch, “Dakar party!!!” Drink, semi nudity, dance, laughter...think a Tavern gone wild, “Dakar Smash!!!!” If you’re not a Mosh pitter... stay away from them. We aren't all as big as they are and some times this is how they fight a chosen enemy.... sooo ummm stay 7 ft from one unless you like to be kick, punch, slam, stomp, or bumped.

Though a Dakar who triggers their memories due to familiar people or comes to realize who they really are immediately change back to their former self. This doesn’t mean they become a person with a soul again but a Dakar who remember his past and who he was. This may change his behavior as a Dakar to more of the person he once was. Also Dakar are Request only and there for patrons who have lost all their chances to bring back their character from death. A Player who wants their character back after loosing all their chances to revive their character gets this last chance by submitting a paragraph at least of their reasons at judgment why they should return to the living.

Stats Bonuses: +4 Power

Quirk: Dakar are the let loose best friend by your side. Since they are avoided to make enemies with they seem to never find trouble so they hang out at Pubs, Bars, Taverns, and Inns to associate with new people. Dakar's sociability makes easy friends if rped right. They also make great people to back you up since you mess with one you mess with all. Although oddly when some side on opposite sides and see fellow Dakar on other sides unless they’re outcasts or enemies of that Dakar they tend to step out and let the other people duke it out as a courtesy between another. They rather let the two sides go at it than get involve with other Dakars to avoid unevenness. They also don't like stupid or half bake Dakar who in their mind are worth ignoring aren't worth saving.

 

Natural Race Abilities

Super Strength: When a Dakar must make a Power Roll or resolve Damage they get a +4 in order to increase their chances in those rolls. Because they are much more masculine than what they were in their past life Dakar’s strength are their primary function in whooping tail.

Combat Badness: Dakar are natural fighters for some reason and therefore become very accurate when it comes to fighting. They gain a +2 Circumstance Bonus to ATR and DR when in combat.

Magic: For some reasons only females retain the ability to use magic and not the males. Males tend to become more physical where women are stronger than the average woman they were with the added bonus of being able to use magic if they had magic before. Never the less a woman is able to apply this new talent into learning magic.

Drain Abilities: Anything that drains or takes from the attributes of a Dakar do not affect them. This also applies to any soul effects. For some reason they don’t have a soul so any effects to drain from them or harm their soul doesn’t work rendering them immune to the attacks.

Resistance Dark: Any form of Dark Magic or Dark Energy Attack reduces half its damage to a Dakar. This is because of their undead capability and rather chaotic features. But in truth it is a protection by those who will judge them. This protection reduces 50% damage from Dark Attacks.

Resistance Holy: Just as Resistance to Dark a Dakar can resist 50% of the damage or effect by a Holy base attack. This is also a gift from those who will judge the Dakar. This protection works to their favor making them semi resistant to any Clerical attacks or Holy damage.

No D.HP: For some reason a Dakar has no D.HP at all regardless if they have any. This means once a Dakar reaches Zero in Hit Points their body is violently ripped from this material plane back to the Halls of Judgment where they will be judge on their past and recent actions. So a Dakar should always try to remain healthy as possible.

Purple Blood: The blood of a Dakar is purple and has strange properties such as any form of Illness or Poison inflicting them makes them Immune to those effects.
