Dark Elves

Dark Elves are another Famed Race here in the Dark Lands. These Dark Faye creatures are known to live in the shadows and isolated from several races. They don’t seem to get along with Humans or those of the Demon world but of all their enemies they do not like the high Elves. The Dark Elves are well known for their Dark Crafted weapons and Use with spells of Dark and Chaotic Magic. In the Society of the Dark Elf many think as a whole in the betterment of their people and young ones. Naturally Dark Elves are not truly evil but are mistaken for evil creatures. They merely go by things through a dark means to serve their purpose and because of constant ridicule by humans and High Elves they are forever angered and suspicious of strangers that can possibly do them harm. Though in Exception they are not ill toward those of Noctura descent knowing well the king protects them and offers them lands to live on the surface though some hide away in marshes from those of modern society.

Although Dark Elves seem to be frightening they are not. Some are ugly and most are actually quite attractive in dark skin. Dark Elves range to be 5’4” to about 5’11”. Their eyes range from purple, red, bronze, grey, silver, and quick silver colors. There are even some with red eyes which are rare.  Their appearance is that of random beauty and ugliness depending how their parents are. Some are small and thinly while others are lean masculine and thin the ones that are not as pretty have a hawk shape nose and tend to have oddly elongated ears. They as well have long pointed ears like Damiers and seem to get along with them as long as none of their own is under the table of a Damier’s hand. The Dark Elvin race seems to get along with most races for the exception of Demons, Vampires, and High Elves though some humans have earned their scorn. They are in tuned with the Shadows and know few natural skills to aid them in the shadows.

The Dark Elf Race is one of dwellings in Dark Forests and hidden Cave lands that contain a crystal forest or waterfall nearby. Their society is one of power and ruled by a Matriarch. Mistaken as Drow, another name they are called by mistake, have a Society much opposite than most elves and the Drow. They prefer the Dark Areas and not as small and unattractive as most legends and rumors state. They are a race that pertains of few whom are attractive and some that are unappealing. The Dark Elf society is that of one of their gods and that of a Priest hood. Their whole Society is governed like that of Priesthood and some of a matriarchal Society. They are skilled in the Dark arts and are skilled in making poison arrows or weapons imbued in poison. The Dark Elf shows favoritism to chaos and a bit of destruction when they can. They distain those that would run from battle from them and those that are cowardice with words with no meaning or action.

The Dark Elf however are an intelligent race yet does not show this to many others being skilled thieves and assassins enjoying in creating traps or in the Magics of Illusion and Trickery. Dark Elves are among one of the Strongest Allies among Drow and the Continent of Noctura some times living far or close from human cities. Considered citizens of Noctura they obey the laws of the land and are welcomed in any of the human cities. This union has caused much concern among the High Elves and Humans of Morganna who see Noctura as a Dark Continent with little or no care for the world due to their Prince. Because of this it is said that Dark Elves and Nocturans make the worthiest of Allies against Good another rumor that stains on them as Nocturans.

Quirks: Dark Elves tend to ally themselves with people they can trust and rely upon in victory of battle. Yet they show little concern or worry to those outside their chosen group. Dark Elves are Reserve and speak only when spoken to or when they desire because of this many think them rude. It is also known that Dark Elves hold Grudges to the slightest offender and any who cross them being natural in their upbringing.

Natural Race Abilities

Acute Hearing: Upon a Listen Check Elves gain a Natural +4 that does not hinder them in maxing out the skill Rank but does give them an advantage.

Sensitive Touch: No matter what you can tell each and every detail of an item, object, or person. This Sensitive touch all works as an extra sensory when the Elf is touching a Surface it is like a photogenic memory to recall the detail and design of an object with their touch sensory ability. Of coarse an Elf can adjust this sensory touch so as to not overwhelm them with any other touch application.

Exceptional Sight: Elves gain a +4 to any Sight Checks made and it being a natural bonus does not hinder to their max ranks and permits to add on even when 20 Ranks has been met.

Craft Poison: +4 to any weapon or ammunition soaked in a Night Vine Poison. When a Dark Elf applies Night Vine to their Weapon or Ammunition the effect is immediate and causes Poison status when Damage is done. The Target must make a Resist of a Difficulty 14 or be effected as if poison. This takes but a turn to apply and if applied to ammunition for each 5 pieces it requires 1 night vine.

Knowledge Poison: Whether a Dark Elf has Ranks in it or not they can apply their knowledge of poisons of the swamps or Caves as a +4 Ranks in the Skill Knowledge Poison.  This can prove useful when they are affected or other are afflicted with Poison Status.

Concealed in Shadows: A Dark Elf can conceal herself or a small party in an aura of shadows once per day as a natural ability which can give her an advantage against her enemies. This causes a +8 Difficulty to any Sight Checks on them and can be applied to a +8 in Running Away from battle proving very useful. She can use this Aura on herself or to three additional people other than herself.
