Dunpeal
1> Never to slay your Elder for it is he who has given you the life you have now be it father or Elder sibling of the Night. Less you have proof and reason to suspect he or she breaking the laws set by Cain or endanger the house then set fourth and correct this wrong so says Cain the First Child of the Night birth by the Creator and the Destroyer. 2> Treat humans not as cattle or live stock but as respected souls whose lives require sustaining in order for us to live out or remaining Nightly Life. To some humans are merely foods to others they are our lively hood. For them to die off is for Cain and his children to be forgotten in memory. Gluttony of the red food is seen as treason and endangering the many Houses set fourth by and to Cain. 3> Respect life for unlike the abominations of the Void that Mirror us they are merely monsters and should be extinguished if seen. Remember the name of “Bashin” the creatures appear as us but less human and more of the bat with their pale skin and sickening stench and rows of teeth. They appear as large demons with wings and cause us harm. Failure to kill them can be seen as an act of weakness and aligning yourself with them is an act against Cain and all who flourish from his life. This Vampyre will be seen as a traitor and there for die as one. 4> Never Murder your people nor drink from them dried. Long ago the first children of Cain did so to gain power quickly but through their corruption they became tainted and more like the beast the “Bashin” this creature deserves no pity or respect cast him away in the deepest river where all he may feed upon are the wandering scaled gills of that of the sea till he rots for all eternity. 5> Conspiring against your people unless they have proven to become the very thing Cain despises such as the Bashin or Childish Vampires with silly ideals as controlling and destroying man or his people is a Vampire who should be slain. Conspiring or murdering your Elder or any Elder is an act of breaking loyalty if not the chain of order in which we have survived by countless of generations. 6>
Though the Gaian are not our enemy it is forbidden to mate with
them for even mating with the Nepharian brings out a beast that simply craves
blood and creates a child who suffers constantly in her form. The 7> Those of your house or clan are of your blood and therefore any folly they make is a folly you have made. Any Elder whose children can not behave shows disrespect as well as dishonor to that house. If a law is broken or a child of that Elder has caused injury or insult to another house that child must be punished and hence the Elder must see to it that they punish them personally. This act is to show shame to the Elder for his irresponsibility and neither the child nor their Elder is above law which has been written by Cain and his children. 8> Human law should be respected but human confrontation or problems is not our concern less it proves to endanger our source of nourishment or if a noble gesture. Our existence should be little known among humans since they scare easily and kill what they do not understand. Live among them for Cain’s children can walk in the light but do not stay more than the sixth hour or slowly shall the bright sun cook alive the flesh and turn it to ash with in the tenth moment of your life. For though we can walk among humans for a specific amount of time this should not be tested and should be respected as a gift. 9> Respect the rules of conduct set fourth by Cain for these hold respect and power from the old world. Cain’s children cannot enter a holy place for the bane placed by the Gods causes them harm though that of Lucard the first son of Dracul who is half of the human race and half of the vampire can only disobey these rules. Such as entering rooms unwelcome is seen as disrespect and seen as cowardly to enter a room uninvited. We are not mere monsters of myth but people with honor, dignity, and nobility being of royal and godly blood of Cain. These courtesies are shown that we are not the monsters portrayed by lore and such acts are seen as cowardice, insult, and dishonor. Give even to those who are merely your nourishment who will be drained dried respect and kill them swiftly for none who are uninvited to a house to become of Cain’s blood are ill deserve of his gift and therefore will be seen as an act against the rules and laws of Cain. 10> Lastly use common sense of right and wrong for we are not evil people or creatures. We are nobles among nobles and we are children of Cain. Obey the laws set before you and respect your house and bring honor and glory to it to show that Cain’s gift is not wasted so that some day Cain will return to us and bring us to paradise. Come read what has been spoke orally to all for countless of years and assure your people that the race shall forever flourish. Break these rules and become enemy to all that is of the night. Human Side Effect Immune to the Sun and Banes> To Vampires the Sun limits their ability to be out in the sun yet since they are nocturnal by race they have all of the night to play. Dunpeals however are immune to the sun’s effects and can be outside for about twelve hours which comes to Dusk to Dawn. Though there is a handicap for this great gift Dunpeals loose three times the amount of liquids than humans do meaning every 3 hours outside in the sun the must drink a half a gallon of liquid, preferably water, or risk Dehydration. If not buried underground, demeaning among vampires, or have found a source of water to cool in they begin to die from dehydration. Also unlike Vampires Dunpeals may enter non-public areas with out the curse of Cain preventing them from going further. They are also able to enter Holy places with little or no discomfort. Being human eliminates most weaknesses or banes to Dunpeals making them non-existent. Vampire Side Heightened Senses: Dunpeals, Half Vampires, acquire the heightened senses of their Vampiric parent gaining +4 in Sight, Listen, and Scent Checks. A Scent Check is made at a d20 roll and uses half the ranks of Sight and Listen as a bonus. Magic Touch: Like most Vampires Half Vampires can touch an object to see if it contains magic or some form of arcane. No roll is required but they must be able to touch the object to know this. Sadly this could set off the spell or magic in a object so its some times can be a very non-useful ability. Cain’s Strength: Most Vampires possess and uncanny strength that can rival most of the strongest creatures. A Half Vampire is at least twice or three times as strong as the average human. A Half Vampire gains a Natural Enhancement to Dmg Rolls and any Power Check Rolls. They get a +2 that is added to the result of any dice roll and in combat if an attack is made at a Crit Success of 20 the Half Vampire can make a Power Check that the target must make a opposing Target Check and beat or be knocked back as if flat footed (Grounded/Knock Back) for the remainder of that round till their turn where they can get back up as a free action. Cain’s Heart: A Half Vampire regenerates from wounds as if he were a Vampire and can Regenerate himself from death at the cost of 5 D.Hp if they have it. This is only Temporary since a adventurer can restore D.Hp after they have had a full nights rest or equivalent of their of. They can also use this ability to cancel any status affliction since it is also part of their regenerative process. Cain’s Bite: Upon a successful Grab a half vampire character can deal 2d6 Dmg with out no soak when the Dunpeal bites into a victim. This Dmg is converted into Hp for a Dunpeal when they are desperately in need of healing or they are at the Near Death Status of Hit points. If merely needing to feed or heal they are conscious and take the blood from anywhere other than the neck. However at Near Death they will immediately go for the neck and the closest person to them. This causes the target to panic and can get a +1 vs. the Dunpeal’s grab attack. Yet if the Dunpeals drains the life and D.Hp of a target that person becomes dead. Half Vampires cannot transmute the form into a Vampire since they are half and also are unable to have children. Cain’s Sight> Like the High Elf’s True seeing Vampires and Dunpeals are able to see pass illusions and therefore are immune to any form of Illusion. The only time this effect is canceled is when the Illusion effects a Radius greater than a single target and therefore still applies to as if the character was being effected by any form of illusions. |
