Dwarves
The Dwarves spend most of their time as Adventurer, Miners, Smithy's, or
Travelers selling off their goods. Dwarves have been known to have great
constitution and are able to keep up with even a human adult making them good
runners and couriers through their underground tunnels. The Mountain Dwarf is
known for it's Strong fortified tunnels and underground cities. Because of this
Dwarven Allies are good to have when in the mountains. They spend most of their
days underground mining and working on forges to better strengthen their cities.
Most Mountain Dwarves are known to be Warriors and adventurers seeking out
Battles to make them well renowned.
Mountain Dwarves unlike Hill Dwarves have rugged beards and seem to be a
bit muscular making them highly tough and strong in battle or working mines. A
Mountain Dwarf has many natural enemies such as Goblins, Orcs, and Trolls. This
also includes a lot of Monster in the under dark especially Drows. Even thought
Mountain Dwarves don't get along with Elves it rather join with an elf to slay a
Drow than have to deal with one alone. Because of this the Mountain Dwarves try
not to solicitate highly with the Elvin race since they to agree that the only
alliance would be with a common enemy. Because of this Trade is minimal and
crimes from either race in the other's land is shown little remorse yet a
natural enemy is agreement enough to work together.
A Mountain Dwarf has much strength and even greater prowess in battle
most prefer to take Combat Professions or Dual Class as a Soldier and Cleric in
order to better serve Klangdon their god whom fights a dead lock battle with a
beast from the God War. Mountain Dwarves have an assortment of hair and eye
colors and usually have long rugged beards even as young adults. They are seen
carrying heavy weapons and seem to fight well with them in battle. Most Mountain
Dwarves are Taller than Hill Top Dwarves who range from 4ft but Mountain Dwarves
can range as Tall as 5ft. Quirk: A
Mountain Dwarf is a very good Fighter but due to their size may have difficulty
against similar size foes or human size foes. Yet opponents who are three times
the size of the Dwarf or bigger is going to have trouble getting him so take the
size advantage trait. Natural
Race Abilities Balance
Vision: A Dwarf is capable of seeing in the dark as well as not be affected of
changing sudden light sources. Because of this they are able to see during
normal darkness and light conditions. Slow
Movement: a Dwarf suffers a -2 to any movement action (not including Dodge)
Hence a movement of 4 is 2 rather than a 4 unless they run they can make their
full movement. +2 Resist
Poisons +2
Ethereal Resist Spells (Status Effects and Projectiles) +1 Dodge
for each Height category bigger than a Dwarf +2 on
Skill Checks based on Craft +2 on Any
Craft that is Stone Work or Metal Endurance
Plus> A dwarf has twice the Endurance of a human thus any action that slowly
takes away from Power is reduced by half and actions that would tire a Human
would take twice as long. Favorite
Armor: Medium Armor or Dwarven Armor Offers an Additional +1 to Dodge for a
Dwarf. Favorite
Weapon: Two handed Swords, Axes, and Bashing Weapons +2 to ATR Equipment Penalties: Heavy Armor not outfitted for Dwarves is cumbersome and doubles the
Heavy Armor penalty on dwarves Wearing Heavy Armor not outfitted for Dwarves.
