Pherans

Pheran are children who have Phoenix blood in their heritage perhaps from ancestry or that their parent was a phoenix. These children normally do not suffer as some half breed but suffer in the fact of longevity is almost never ending. A Pheran’s ability to regenerate and resurrect themselves is very useful to the child but very limited in comparison to a true Phoenix . Pheran tend to also be effective when in water suffer harm unless the water is of at least Luke Warm temperature if not boiling hot. They also suffer the weaknesses of a Phoenix being vulnerable to cold and icy weather. Pheran children normally live peaceful lives among their parents and tend to learn a bit of bitter rivalry with Dragons, Dorans, and Dragoons. The skirmishes among a Phoenix and a Dragon have lasted long before the war so some don’t even no why just that Dragons are a bad influence on a Phoenix . With longevity and regeneration on their side Pheran tend to do well in Combat and in using Fire Magic though it is in rare case that a Pheran take anything with Water or Ice Magic in it. Pheran tend to spend their time training or learning a particular skill or trait since the live for so long. However Pheran do not transform as Doran due and will always have a human form with a blonde, red, orange, or flame color hair and eyes. Their powers are natural to their human form and it is said that Most Pheran were that of the Planet Laskanda that was once a place the people of Everlynn could once visit before the war destroyed the Heaven’s Gate.

 

Human Side

Natural +1: To any roll a Pheran may add its human bonus to gain a +1 to any roll. This proves as a normal trait of a human character.

 

Phoenix Side

Flame Breath> A Pheran may Breath out a cone of flame equivalent to twice his or her height and wide. The Damage is 5d6 Fire and on a crit 20 the opponents must make a reflex check or fail to put the fires out on their clothing and suffer d8 burning damage.

Fire Arcane> Pheran may lash out a single flame at a single target for 3d6 Damage and a Fire Ball for 5d6 Damage at a group of targets. They can also imbue their own weapon, as long as they are touching it, with Fire Damage properties. However these abilities are like spells and will use up 1 spell each time they use this ability.

Fire Resistant> Pheran unlike Phoenixes can resist only half of any Fire Damage such as 50% soak from Fire Damage. However they also Suffer an additional 50% more damage from Cold Water and Ice Attacks.

Regenerate> Pheran can regenerate from wounds inflicted upon them. These wounds turn to ash and the Pheran begins to regenerate 2d6 Health per round until at Max Health. This ability does not negate status effects nor can it regenerate healthy beyond the Max Health Limit.

Resurrection> The Pheran can instantly regenerate as soon as they have fallen. As they reach Zero Health they die and turn to ash and the pile is aflame and soon they reawaken fully restored. However this gift can only be used once a day hence they are only half Phoenix and they must be able to rekindle the ash meaning if they are submerged in water, snow, or dirt or in any application that would put out the fire they cannot regenerate till they do.
