Waku, Subclass of Demon

The scholars and thinkers of the demon race are the Waku who appear as dark blue skin humans some times purple with long wicked shark teeth smiles and tendrils for hair. They appear as humans but possess innate knowledge of many supernatural sciences and technologies. The tendrils on their heads serve as a sensory organ and seem to be plated with thick scales. This sensory organ allows them to smell and sense others through some type of electrical sensory. Since they have no nose they require this sensory organ to smell and tell Auras of others. Natural blind to light their eyes cannot see light being of a dark obsidian color with purple pea size pupils. However they can strongly see in the Dark with Excellent Dark Vision and are not handicap by light effects. However in day light they can only see black, grey, and white images so they rely on their tendrils to supply them with electrical sensory data as to get proximity of near by targets or life forms by sending an electrical discharge now and then. It appears as their tendrils are rattling when it is just the electrical discharge from a special organ in their brain. Also they possess an extraordinary supernatural set of powers that give them a grant defensive range in protecting themselves since they are very lean and small averaging to be no taller than 5’6”. Their electrical organ emits a powerful discharge whenever the Waku is grabbed or harmed. This electrical discharge paralyzes the target for a short time and can only be used three times a day it seems. Waku also can eject a black substance that seems like a form of dark matter that blocks out any light source and makes other blind except for other Waku and the Waku that had done this. Lastly they possess a strange electrical speed as if teleporting to one region to another in close proximity. This effect is almost instantaneous as they create a warp space they run through appearing as if they were moving faster than light.

Waku are short blue some times purple people with black tendrils for hair that have scales covering the sensitive organs underneath. They are prone to living in swamps or isolated rocky mountains to live in small villages or towns. They live off the land and study it intently. The Waku find Kurai as savages boasting about killing creatures merely as some sort of sport or competition. Though Waku have no dislike for Succubus or Incubi they rather keep their distance from them. Being of a range of 5’ to 5’6” they are not use to being strong in combat but perform excellently in the use of being a Bard or some type of Spell Caster. Each Waku has a strong sense of pursuit to a particular subject of science or magic and continue to study it till they know everything about it. They then share their findings with other Waku of the science or magic community. In some sense most Waku are not scholars or Magi but are aristocrats governing or ruling over the weaker minded Waku.

Racial Abilities

Natural Weapons> Electrical Discharge is a Waku racial ability that can emit a 2d4 damaging electric attack similar to lightning or in this case an electric eel. The target who touches a Waku physically or attempts to grab them with their flesh are immediately stunned for d4 Rounds and must make a Resist Difficulty 14 or be stun for that many rounds. Once per day a Waku can eject black matter from their tendrils as defensive action. This 25ft radius of matter blocks any light and can only be seen through by that Waku or any other Waku there. Using up the Electrical Discharge in a Waku’s body they can make an instant action of movement that is three times their own. This Electrical teleport warps space around them as if slowing time but in truth they are moving in a very fast speed. This action can only be used to make movement any form leaving the space that is tightly around the Waku will stop the action as if they had reach their destination.

Aura of Demon> When some one detect evil or uses empathy they can sense some type of small evil emanating from the Waku due to the demonic blood with in them. This detection isn’t as bad depending in the alignment of the Waku.

True Sight> Due to their supernatural bloodline Waku’s can see past Illusions of a single target as well as see apparitions and anything of the supernatural realm as if normal. This is a unique ability to see pass the illusions or inability to see that of the supernatural world.

Supernatural Damage> A Waku like a demon can deal their Natural weapon Damage to any supernatural creature whether it was a ghost or something immune to physical attacks. This is because their demon blood is a supernatural essence infusing them with yet another gift.

Immunity> Waku are immune to any blind effect by light sources or spells. This does not make them immune to natural effects or the blind spell however. Just any form of illuminated blindness does not harm or blind them.

Dark Spell> Dark Magic isn’t necessarily Evil but a Waku may learn 1 Dark Magic Spell (At a 20 Exp Cost) and cast it at least three times a day as if natural to him or her.

Sense Aura> A Waku much like a Demon can sense Aura’s by smell. This is an automatic feature when stated and can sense not only the race but if it is Magic and what alignment the target is. This is effective to a Radius of 5ft x Reflex making it an average radius to sense a target.
